This year Foster Care Fortnight will be taking place from Monday 8th to Sunday 21st May 2017.
Foster Care Fortnight is The Fostering Network’s annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and to show how foster care transforms lives. It is also the UK’s biggest foster carer recruitment campaign.
9,070 new foster families are needed in the next 12 months and matching the national picture, Manchester City Council’s greatest need is for teenagers, siblings groups, children with a disability or additional unique needs.
There will be a whole host of activity throughout the two weeks with a mixture of local events in community hubs, outdoor media and social media activity, and events with partner agencies in the North West and their fostering Ambassadors.
Throughout the fortnight the Council’s website and Social Media accounts will be promoting various events, activities, and what the team is getting up to.
You can find out more about fostering and Foster Care Fortnight on The Fostering Network website.
