Results 2016

We would like to congratulate our students on their results and thank all of the staff for their hard work in supporting our students’ achievement.

GCSE Results

We are very pleased with our students’ performance at Key Stage 4 and we would like to thank all the students for their hard work in achieving these results and all the staff for supporting the students in their work. We would like to wish the class of 2016 all the very best for the future and all the success in their chosen pathway.

  • 54% of students achieved A*-C in both Maths and English with 33% achieving the E Baccalaureate qualification, which is above national average, plus an Attainment 8 score of 49.08 which is in-line with national average.
  • 33 students have achieved 5+ A*-A grades with 17 of these achieving 8+ A*-A grades, which is very pleasing. 1 student, Amina, achieved an exceptional qualification in her Further Maths, which is above the A*
  • The new Progress 8 measure and the value added score for the best 8 subjects including English and Maths are both showing that students are making excellent progress from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 with a Progress 8 score of 0.26, which is in the top 25% of school nationally
  • We achieved higher than the national average for A*-A in 6 subjects – Arabic, Biology, Business Studies, Physics, Psychology and Spanish
  • We achieved higher than the national average for A*-C in 9 subjects – Arabic, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, German, Physics, Psychology, Spanish and Urdu


Sixth Form Results

Congratulations and well done to all our Sixth Form students on their fantastic results this year.

Yet again we are thrilled with our students’ great performance this year and this is a result of their hard work and commitment to their studies. We would like to thank all the staff for their dedication to the students and their support in helping the students achieve these results.

  • At A Level the pass rate has gone up from 97.2% to 98.5%, our best ever
  • The A*-A grades percentage and the A*-B grade percentage have remained consistent at 14% and 36% respectively and the A*-C grades percentage has gone up to 66%
  • 8 A* grades were achieved – 1 in Arabic, 1 in Maths, 2 in Psychology and 4 in Urdu
  • The level 3 vocational pass rate is excellent at 100% and this gives a pass rate of 99% when combined with the A Level
  • The D*-D pass rate was 75%
  • One student achieved 3 distinction* and 7 students achieved 2 distinction* and 1 distinction
  • At AS Level we have held a high pass rate of 88% after our big increase last year with 25% at A and B grades
  • The overall pass rate at Level 2 on vocational courses at Certificate or above was 94% with 84% of students achieving Level 2 Extended Certificate
  • The overall pass rate at Level 1 on vocational courses was 100%
