Results 2017

We would like to congratulate our students on their results and thank all of the staff for their hard work in supporting our students’ achievement. Congratulations and well done to the class of 2017 on their excellent results this year.


GCSE Results

We are absolutely thrilled with our GCSE results this year and we would like to congratulate our class of 2017 on their excellent performance. This shows the hard work and commitment of the students and the dedication of the staff to support the students in achieving these results. We wish the students all the very best for the future and success on their chosen pathway.

  • 63% of students have achieved the new 9-4 grades in the basics
  • There were some excellent results in English with 82% achieving the new 9-4
  • The maths results were also very pleasing with 65% 9-4 grades
  • In Science 71% achieved 2 GCSEs at A*-C grades, best GCSE results ever
  • The EBacc results were also brilliant with 45% achieving 9-4 with English and maths

Some amazing top grades achieved by our students:

  • English Literature 10 grade 9s and 21 grade 8s
  • English Language 8 grade 9s and 17 grade 8s
  • Maths 6 grade 9s and 15 grade 8s
  • 65 students achieved 5+A*-A grades (this includes the equivalencies of grades 7-9 in English and maths) which is 25% of the cohort
  • 31 students achieved 8+A*-A grades (this includes the equivalencies of grades 7-9 in English and maths) which is 12% of the students

A Level Results

Yet again we are very pleased with our students’ performance this year and this is due to their hard work and commitment throughout the year on their courses. We would like to thank the staff for their dedication to the students and the support they have given them to achieve these results.

  • At A Level the pass rate has been maintained at 98%
  • The A*-A, A*-B and A*-C percentages are 12%, 26% and 55% respectively. These have been achieved with many of the courses being the new more challenging A Levels
  • 8 A* grades were achieved in Arabic , Maths and Urdu
  • The level 3 vocational pass rate has continued to be excellent at 100%
  • The Distinction*/Distinction pass rate is 65%
  • In Business and Personal Business and Finance 100% of the students achieved a distinction or above
  • Nine students achieved 3 distinction * and 8 students achieved 2 distinction* and 1 distinction
  • At AS Level the pass rate has increased to 95% the best ever results with an increase in A*-B grades from 25% to 27% and A*-C grades from 43% to 51%
