We are firmly established as a Sixth Form which provides academic and vocational courses for young women of all abilities and ensures progression to Higher Education and employment.
Our status as a Business, Enterprise and Sports College opens a range of opportunities working with local businesses, with mentors and by providing quality work experience and sports activities.
In September 2011 the Sixth Form moved into a brand new state of the art building. This includes purpose built social spaces, high tech independent study areas and flexible learning spaces. Three million pounds has been invested in ICT and new learning technologies throughout the school.
The support for students is intensive; tutor guidance and advice provides a clear focus on study and helps students through the application process for university. There is mutual respect between teachers and students and students say that they appreciate the level of individual support. Parents are also kept closely in touch with their daughter’s progress.
All students have the opportunity to enhance their experience through extra- curricular activities such as volunteering, mentoring younger students, sports leadership and citizenship activities.
Students progress to have successful careers in Pharmacy, Law, Medicine and Midwifery to name but a few.
