Whalley Range 11-18 High School is a co-operative academy and the sponsor school in the Education and Leadership Trust, which came into existence in September 2014.

    About the ELT

    Whalley Range is a large 11-18 High School of 1500 girls located in the heart of inner city Manchester. Levenshulme is a school of 1,000 girls. The East Manchester Academy is a mixed school of 970 students in the heart of Manchester’s regeneration area in Beswick. They serve some of the most deprived wards in Manchester and embrace and celebrate their cultural diversity.

    Our Board of Trustees govern the Education and Leadership Trust, which comprises of Whalley Range 11-18 High School and Levenshulme High School in a co-operative academy trust. Our Governing Body is represented by numerous members of the community.

    The Education and Leadership Trust is a multi-academy trust (MAT) incorporating three schools driven by co-operative values in the City of Manchester. The schools are Whalley Range 11-18 High School, Levenshulme High School and The East Manchester Academy.
